@stalkers.canada: Malisha Brooks of Burlington, Ontario, and eight co-accused were arrested following Project Troubadour, the Halton Regional Police Service’s largest human trafficking investigation. The case began in September 2025 after a woman reported being exploited. Police allege the group used coercion, manipulation, and psychological abuse to control victims for commercial sexual exploitation. Investigators identified 12 victims and believe the offences were linked to organized crime. On July 13, 2026, police executed 10 search warrants across the GTA and arrested all nine accused. Brooks is charged with receiving a material benefit from sexual services and laundering proceeds of crime. All nine accused were held in custody pending separate bail hearings in Milton.
