That harness is on way too loose. That’s why he slipped out. For the love of all that is holy tighten up that harness quite a bit it’s supposed to be snug. You should only be able to fit two finger fingers between the dog and the harness.

Sorry but harness dog people explains what kind of owner you are. He is not the bad boy. Get him a tighter slip chain with a front harness if you want to let him run.
