I did a 10 month engagement & destination wedding! It was perfect & honestly the planners do SO much, make the process smooth & easy for you! I couldn’t recommend it more. It was fun to not wait so long & honestly book the venue first & the rest falls into place💫

2 years! It’s not long at all, and you’ll appreciate having more than 1 year to plan and get everything perfect. 1 year will feel rushed and you may not get your ideal date, venue, and/or vendor choices. Why not have it perfect in 2 years than make compromises to have it in 1 year?

Enjoy being a fiancée and do 2 years. Also, having that time means you likely won’t have to settle for options you don’t *love* simply for timelines sake

I’m having a 2 yr engagement! It’s been amazing so far! We have so much time to plan everything. We also decided to have our Bach parties a year early to help spread out costs for those closest to us!

I had a 2 year engagement and towards the end it just felt WAY too long 😭 if you’re working with a wedding planner I’d aim for 2027!

I’m doing courthouse in Feb 2027 and our actual wedding Feb 2028!! It’ll be like our one year anniversary celebration 🥹 i also didn’t wanna stress plan. I have a lot going on so i needed time LOL. AND, my venue was also booked out on every Saturday until early 2028 too. I got the last Saturday available in Feb 28! As long as you book a venue, then take your time planning!

definitely 2027 September. European planners won’t even work on your wedding until 8 months before the wedding so why to stress yourself later just go ahead and do it

If you have a great wedding planner they will do a lot of the planning and organizing of decor so that might make you feel more relaxed if you want a 2027 wedding😊🤍

😎 Try Mexico ALL INCLUDED venue if your plans fall through … In Mexico we usually need 8 months at least due to hotel availability. We do winter or Spring weddings tho. Summer is too hot and storms :)

1 year was great for me! I’ve had friends who had longer engagements and it just seemed to draw the planning stage out

Do whatever feels right for you & what you want ♥️I did it in 13 months. I wish I took a bit more time if I’m being honest. Don’t forget to enjoy this special time while planning ♥️

I did two years destination wedding in Italy at a hotel venue and it was honestly great timing. It was just around 22months. We didn’t feel stressed planning. Our families and friends had time to save to come to Italy. We had about 100 people. We each did bachelor and bachelorette trips and parties. I think 1 year is just not enough time to do it abroad. You also have to remember there’s a cultural difference. In Italy they were so relaxed and would takes a few days to respond. I don’t think I could’ve handled that had our timeline been shorter

My fiancé and I got engaged this year, and we’re getting married March 2028! We’ve already pre-planned everything that you can so far and it’s such a breath of fresh air for us. We’re taking our tiiimmmeee planning ours and our bachelor/bachelorette trips because we want everything done what we deem perfect for us. So it’s all about what the two of you want for your wedding

1 year feels scary but it’s really not that bad or stressful!! You book all your big things at the beginning and then you get a couple months of lull and its really as bad IMO!

I say 2 yrs, especially since a destination wedding! You can get “legally married” a year before your destination wedding and celebrate your one year of marriage with the best celebration ever— a true celebration of marriage! And yes, your groom will still be in tears!!! Also leaves room for budging and enjoying being a fiance!! Let me take some of the stress off of you (now and day of!) @mcguiremoments
