I have just experienced my first Rhine River Cruise with Viking from Amsterdam to Basel and I loved every single second of it! I was staying in a Veranda Stateroom and could not get over the views from my balcony, which changed daily. Life on board was every bit as good as the scenery. A different menu every evening, always reflecting whichever region we happened to be sailing past that day. We even had a themed Taste of Germany dinner which was great fun! Evenings brought quizzes and games in the lounge, and I even attended an immersive Rüdesheim coffee tasting session on board which was fun! On the sun deck there are loungers, shuffleboard and mini golf and it is the best spot to be when going through a Lock!
