I don’t agree. What you are describing is a person surrounded by people you don’t trust. If you are “eating” last it means the people on your team do not have skin in the game and could care less about your well being. A big part of leadership is delegation and enabling people to perform and holding them accountable. A confident leader who has the trust of his team or family can easily say they don’t know because it leads to gathering input and finding the best solutions. Leaders don’t process in public but they due process with their trusted advisors and ultimately make the final decision. Leaders are only as good as who they surround themselves with and the buy-in of those people.
