As a straight man this is a litmus test. If someone holds homophobic or racist views then I don't want to date them. If a white man doesn't want to date a woman because she slept with a black man in the past then we know it's rooted in racism/bigotry. If a straight woman doesn't want to date a bi man because he might have slept with another man in the past we know it is rooted in homophobia/bigotry. They both have a bias that needs to be addressed and unlearned. The white man and straight woman in those scenarios are NOT safe people.

Nobody is saying you have to but yeah your reasoning does fall under a certain classification The same way no one forces anybody to date Black people, but if someone says they don’t date blk people specifically because they’re black we know that that falls under a certain classification that we call racism

Everyday we are all prejudice in some form. If you don’t want to date a homeless person, it’s ok. Do you. But it’s classism. Classism & homophobia are both a form of prejudice among a million other reasons u have for not wanting to date someone. we ALL have some prejudice in us. Someone not wanting to other ppl because of height is discriminating. So what ?

As a heterosexual man, I do not date, bisexual women. I have no problem with homosexuals. I’m not homophobic the reason I don’t date my reason I don’t date, bisexual women. I just think they’re just too freaky. Do that make me homophobic? I’m asking a question.

for anyone not understanding why it’s bigoted and problematic: not wanting to date any bi man EVER has the same reasoning as a white man who wouldn’t want to date a white woman because she also dated and/or slept with a black man. y’all have some weird sexual notion that it makes the man impure. you end up imagining him in positions you deem are only for women (internalized misogyny) and therefore view him as inferior or a bitch. or you simply carry the belief that if a man has desired another man, he can’t truly like women and you feel like he’ll leave you for a man (personal insecurity). all of those reasons are projections that conservative made up. society, in general, views sex as conquest and not pleasure so this debate really just highlights the conditioning we still have to unlearn. if you viewed intimacy in a healthy way, you’d not care about who a person has been intimate with IN THE PAST because you’d be smart enough to get tested. y’all sound like men who claim women with high body counts aren’t relationship material.
