as real as heightism might be i feel like looking at this blog post only from the perspective of “all women naturally dislike short men” takes away from the actual message because i think its pretty interesting. its not being written from an egotistical/bragging pov but rather one that tries to make a connection between an estranged daughter-father relationship and a subconscious avoidance of a specific type of person, wich honestly is really interesting. correct me if im wrong but i also beleive that most chinese ppl are pretty superstitious, so an instictive avoidance of people who remind you of your personal representation of misfortune would then make more sense, and honestly itd also be a pretty good explanation to how heightism started in the first place. i do think the op disregarding her mothers explenation of “because i loved him” is both really short sighted and honestly kind of rude because if youre able to write a post like this then you should be able to aknowledge the fact that loving someone despite any misfortune that person might bring is possible.
