You should check out the book Ghosts Along the Bayou! It’s older, but a great book of south Louisiana ghost stories. My grandmother’s friend actually wrote it :-)

I fish and frog in those swamps from ruddock to ponchatoula and have seen and heard some pretty wild things at night. Definitely a very haunted area in the low road.
