If the “distance” in this song is supposed to represent Heaven, then why is the message, “I’ll be there,” “I can go the distance,” and “I’ll find my way”? Notice how it’s centered on “I.” The truth is, there is nothing we can do to earn our way into Heaven. It is through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone that we are saved. I understand wanting to see God in everything I do too. But I think it’s incredibly naive to ignore that this song echoes the very lie Satan has told humanity from the beginning: that we can earn Heaven, that we deserve Heaven, or that we can become like God. The truth is that we will never be worthy on our own. It is only by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, that we are saved. Amen. Sorry to be a buzzkill, but I’m genuinely tired of seeing people misuse God’s Word in ways that can lead others astray. As Christians, we should test everything against Scripture, not against our feelings or good intentions.

many of the commenters failed to read the caption where he said 'what if the distance was heaven'? and still many are saying that 'it's a bit stretch' or 'hercules is olympian'. comprehension now leaves many when the subject is about religion or specifically, Christianity, so to speak.

Well in the Greek mythology world Hercules lives in Go The Distance was about getting to Olympus which is their home of the gods. It’s not heaven as we see it, but for the character Hercules it was the promise of immortality in the skies
