As someone who grew up extremely Mormon, I LOVE seeing scientific literature disproving and explaining where people got things wrong so we can adjust accordingly going forward. Mormons never admit when they got things wrong 😑

Whatever happens to mankind the earth will recover. The levels of catastrophic pasts events far surpass anything we can do to the climate. We can harm ourselves and the other creatures we share the planet with but it’s only going to be a blip. Another million years - a tiny fraction of the timescales we are talking about here - and the ecosystem will have kickstarted another evolutionary cycle.
