Replying to @kylie 🌾 olivebluehomestead HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS INGREDIENTS 1/2c warm water 1 Tbsp brown sugar 1 Tbsp active dry yeast 4 Tbsp melted butter 1 1/4c warm milk 1 egg 4 1/2c -5c flour 1 tsp salt (Makes 12 buns) INSTRUCTIONS Combine the first three ingredients together in the bowl of a stand mixer and let sit for 10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, except flour, to the bowl. Add the flour 1/2c at a time while mixing on medium speed with a bread hook. Once all flour is incorporated, kneed for 5-8 minutes until the dough is smooth and not sticky to the touch. Add 1/2c more flour if it’s too sticky. Cover and let rise 1-2 hours. Punch down the dough. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and divide into 12. Shape each piece into a small ball. Add each dough ball to a baking sheet lined with a baking mat or parchment paper. Cover and let rise for 30-60 minutes. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Brush top with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Store in an airtight bread box or bread bag at room temp for up to a week or freeze for several months. #homemadefood #homemadebread #burgers
