okay so I feed both of these Foods because they were recommended by my veterinarian. as you know they are not cheap. I feel like we are constantly in an uphill battle because every time I switch to a new food there is a new discovery of something wrong with it. what can we feed our dog?

pet nutritionist isn’t a protected title btw. royal canin literally saved my puppy. hills is the only thing my lab with chronic diarrhea could eat. my other two do best on purina anything so yes i will feed it.

I started feeding my dog fresh homemade food with ground turkey, kale and spinach, salmon oil and Greek yogurt then I supplement anything else through a multi vitamin and give her bone broth treats

No lies I fed pro plan forever and I had a dog with severe allergies. I ended up switching just to try something new and no lies he no longer has allergies .

My girl got very sick with pancreatitis and was hospitalized. They recommended I put her on hills science low fat. She kept getting sick though. Changed the brand and still got sick. So I decided to start cooking for her. She hasn’t been sick in almost a year since I’ve been cooking for her and adding supplements that she needs. Dog food is highly processed and just not good for your dog

Vets are as bad as human medical care. Why are these dogs just but on “allergy” medicine without being tested what the allergy is??? Most of the time it’s the food that he let is on.

My vet sold me insanely expensive meds for my dogs double urinary tract infection. She could not keep anything down on those. Learned that you can get pet meds at a human pharmacy!!!!! They were going to charge me 50 for new diff meds, at Walgreens they were 12. SAVE YOURSELF!

we can understand that some dogs do well and others don’t on the same corporation foods just literally takes time to see problems in a dog or cat hence why she said “long term” but the majority of the issues at vets see are of allergies and cancer in dogs. vets will never think the problem is the food only that it might help them. Most vets are bought by those big corporations so they are forced to recommend those kinds of food. I worked as a pet nutritionist for a couple years and those were the number one issues customers would come in and ask for help. just like humans everything stars in the gut.
