Listen part of it is: its their first time living too. They love and care for you and probably are very fearful. They have lived longer and understand how tough life can be. Often when people hold us back, it is simply because theyre afraid themselves but also afraid to lose you. Im not saying that justifies everything, certainly not torment or abuse.

At least consider, yes... People don't think they can handle that but they can. It is an insane thing to get completely immersed in that narrative, to view this reality as inherently hostile, and then come back from that experience and have to go in to work the next day. Now I know more about myself, and come back from that darkness back into a balance that makes sense for me much quicker, and i am able to sit in deeper darkness without getting lost in it and losing my other half.
