@lauradavis7336: After hearing all the different diagnosis and realizing how we almost lost our daughter, our daughter to at was healthy just a few days before nobody wanted to leave her side, unfortunately ICU will only allow one person to stay during the night. We were blessed and were able to get a hotel that was in the parking lot of the hospital. So my ex husband stayed the night with her while me and my husband went to get some rest and then we traded during the day and let my ex husband go over and get a nap or two. One pic is the view from the hotel to the hospital the other is the hospital to the hotel and the other is my husband who is a die hard Seminole fan and was having a hard time adjusting to all the orange and blue around him. He never let me buy him a shirt but I did get a picture. We literally walked through the parking lot over to the hospital and then we didn’t have to worry about parking. The Dr.’s were in and out, so many of them she had a new team every time we turned around and then because of her age she was in the adult floor with adult Dr.’s and due to her size they would meet with pediatric teams and have discussions. Although she was intubated she was alert and knew every that was going on. She had a white board and she was communicating, never missed a beat. God other plans for her. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

I know they're grieving, and far be it for anyone to tell someone else how to do so; but I found it really weird, inappropriate, & disrespectful when she went into the whole thing about the husband's sports team preference-- like "Here are some photos from the horrible time when my child was fighting for her life, I wanted to remember all I could about the whole ordeal, not bc it was a good memory but bc it was important- so one pic is of the hotel as viewed from her hospital room, one is of the hospital as seen from our hotel; & the last really important pic is of my husband smiling & posing with a poster of his preferred sports team" like WHAT?? And talking about how "he was having a hard time adjusting to all the orange and blue around him; & I tried to buy him a shirt but he wouldn't let me"-- HOW exactly was ANY OF THAT even a passing thought at the time? Idk it just rubbed me wrong- if my mom focused on smth like that even in passing & included it as part of the story of my struggles leading to my DEATH, my feelings would be crushed; & if I was the mother of a kid in that position, there would be an absolutely negative number of times such bs would even be in the periphery of my thoughts, & I'd be PISSED if my 2nd husband even mentioned such shit to me right then. Do y'all get where I'm coming from, or is it just me?? Idk as I said it just rubbed me wrong, but it's their family and their business I guess. And im very very truly sorry for their loss of course. RIP sweet girl.
