@bristexastails: Day 37 with Nola. Adoption day. 🥹 Our yellow girl is off to her next adventure 🥺. After 37 days with Nola, I am so relieved we made it here. When I first picked her up she reminded me so much of a past foster whose story didn’t get this ending. She was severely underweight, anemic, and I was terrified I was about to experience another heartbreak. Instead, day by day, she fought, and her body fought right alongside her. She gained weight, found her confidence, and slowly understood she was safe. Watching that transformation has been one of the greatest privileges. Thank you to every single person who sent supplies, donated to her rescue, shared her story, or simply rooted for her. You were part of her journey too. Today, Nola left for a foster to adopt home with a wonderful family who has previously adopted from her rescue. After meeting them, I have no doubt she is about to be loved and spoiled beyond belief. It’s never easy to say goodbye but this is exactly what fostering is about. It means your heart breaks a little so theirs can finally heal. I can’t wait to share updates as Nola begins the life she always deserved. 💛
