@kelseyalfred: 🩶✨ hip replacement recovery: two weeks post-op 💙 I started noticing a new pain that felt like it was coming from my incision, but when I actually looked at where the pain was, I realized it wasn’t really near the incision at all. 🤔 I’m wondering if it could be nerve pain, but I’m not going to assume — especially since I happen to have my two-week post-op appointment today. I’ll be asking my surgeon about it and hopefully getting some answers. 🤍 I’ll keep you posted on what I find out! #SticklerSyndrome #HipReplacementRecovery #AnteriorHipReplacement #DualMobilityHip #SurgeryRecovery
I’m six months out and I’m barely getting to learn how to walk.

It’s all normal pain, I’m 7 weeks out and still have discomfort all over, with swelling at times, I’m using ice 2 X a day, also taking Tylenol with narproxen for the pain! My incision is twice that size yours looks great!

Girl, you are doing so great! Be extra gentle and kind to yourself right now, because I promise you are going to get to the other side of this 🌈 It’s almost been a week for me, and one thing I noticed during my own recovery is that the more I hyper focused on every little detail, the more I worried about it. I know the pain you're feeling is super real and I don't doubt what you're going through at all, but if there aren't any actual complications or major bad symptoms, try to take that as a win and give your mind a rest, because your body is already doing the heavy work and healing just like it's supposed to! I know you'll hear good things from your doctor today and I'm praying for a speedy recovery for you. I can't wait to see you back on those lives doing those get ready with me lash tutorials, I just miss you so much! You got this KELS! We're all here for you and we all support you 💛

Yes I had the same pain. To the left of my incision (left hip). It does go away. It’s the nerves reattaching. Try it gently massage the side of the incision and ice. At 6 weeks I was able to massage my incision. I’m 3 months out.
