I lost a friend to drowning over 20 years ago. I learned so much that day that stays with me. To this day I am aggressive with water safety. There is no “ill do better”. Just BE BETTER becuase you don’t get a second chance at saving someone.

This was in another country. They don’t have the same requirements, laws or even life jackets on these boats in some cases

Losing a child is heartbreaking, and no one should have to go through that. But if you’re going to publicly advocate for water safety after such a tragedy, your actions need to match your message. Seeing a young child on a boat without a life jacket sends the opposite message. Water doesn’t care about second chances. Every child deserves basic safety precautions. Please do better.
