I studied Journalism in college back in the day. One of the first terms I remember learning about was "the gatekeepers". People don't understand how easy they control.yiur beliefs by controlling what you see and how it's characterized. A good example is how most Leftists think Charlie Kirk was a racist, when he literally devoted his life to fighting hate. That's how easy it is if you don't have diverse information sources.

the media wants you to be angry, it dosen't care if you think obama is bad or good as long as you get angry. after Charlie kirk was assisinated, nobody was truly mourning him and condemning politcal violence, almost every news source open and peice of media was either saying the left is resorting to killing people or saying charlie deserved to die. it wants you polarized because division can be exploited while unity can't.
