My neurologist told me to be careful about getting my neck manipulated. I’ve been going to the same chiropractor for 30 yrs. She said something about a self-induced stroke during manipulation. What are your thoughts?

I have fibromyalgia and constantly get knots I’ve called a couple massage places and they don’t feel comfortable bc they’re don’t have enough experience with chronic pain or illnesses 🥺

nerves do not create knots. What is typically referred to as a knot is clinically referred to as crepitus. As in decrepit meaning, it is torn tissue. The muscle, when it gets over stretched, forms a wound. that knot might be impinging a nerve, as inflammation may do so as well, but nerves do not create knots. in addition, a knot may impede nerve impulses from traveling appropriately. but that is not the cause of the not. that is an effect of the knot.
