She does this thing on the album where she delivers lyrics that don’t rhyme in this like… sedated, disinterested way that makes the songs flow really poorly. I’m a massive Charli fan and I get it’s an intentional creative choice, but that doesn’t mean we have to like it :/

This is genuinely probably her best album. Yeah, it's not going to do well commercially. But it is an artistic masterpiece, and I have been listening to it on repeat and genuinely love nearly every track. Charli has always been so intentional with her work, and this is her most intentional record to date. I don't even understand the critique that the tracks feel unfinished (apart from Rock Music, but that was the point for that track)

I think the entire thesis of the album is about burning up what you’ve done before and finding yourself in creating something new. It’s almost like a real time experiment than a completely grounded body of work.

Including wuthering heights, #1 angel, and pop 2, this is ranked around #6 for me

this was the perfect follow up to brat imo and the people who aren’t enjoying it are one dimensional. a “brat 2” would’ve felt so forced

I'm really surprised to hear this is your take on the album, and I'd be interested to know if your position has changed now you've had time to digest it?

On first listen I thought it felt unfinished, but now it’s one of my favourite albums this year, I think it’s a really cohesive album

1000% agree like the ideas are there (sonically and lyrically) but it feels like the final product is the same as the initial conception. i respect the direction but take some more time to flesh out the message and sound. do love ss26, camera, persona, magic metal montana tho

people saying that songs r too short r so funny to me, if the song is finished then its finished, dragging the length of the song any further just for the sake runtime might just make it less interesting
