it was Barnum & Bailey Circus as I was growing up. Turned into Baseball City my Sr yr in High School. I miss the circus.

The intesection of I4 and Hwy. 27 used to be called "baseball city" before all the crazy development. I still call it that.

Yeah, anheuser Busch who bought it from the previous owner looked at the books and everything and figured it was gonna hurt everything else they acquired. They really wanted SeaWorld and had to take cypress gardens and boardwalk baseball…

textbook publisher Harcourt Brace Jovanovich took over the failing Circus World site in 1986, closed it down, and rebuilt it into a new sports-themed park called Boardwalk and Baseball which featured the newly built Baseball City Stadium

I was one of the kids who met you at the gate to take a pic. I was on my way to work when I heard on the radio it closed. There was nothing to do but turn around and go home

My mom managed Boardwalk and Baseball. She loved that park! The day it closed she found out when everyone else did and they pulled her over to Seaworld.

That coaster I was on as a kid. 100plus first drop. For a wooden coaster that was the tallest in the world.

I can still taste the Italian ice from there. was a treat to go and definitely remember the smaller crowds. remember my family talking about it closing down.
