Hi there I used to work in digital collections for my college and I can confirm there are machines that can scan books non destructively and safely while still being fairly quick and efficient. The only thing is that they need human operators to work. Doing this would create more jobs and boost the economy but AI companies sheer greed wont let that happen. is it trickling down yet?
