I agree hiring a factional or silly contract an engineer. With that said the “pretty code” isn’t just UI it’s also UX and scalable code which is what a lot of “vibe coders” don’t understand. VCs are very deadline oriented. So if you Frankenstein you MvP and then need to spend the first 4/6 weeks after funding on refactoring that’s an issue. And no Claude will not refactor affectively especially when third party libraries or sdks are involved

This! As a startup director of engineering: talk to the ICPs! Stop letting programmers build the perfect MVP. No! You’ll mom-test yourself so hard and the pivot will suck so much worse.
