for future and anyone reading the comments, what you actually want to do is carefully remove the tentacles left on you as they can re-fire and cause more stings, the. run the area(s) under the hottest water you can stand for at least 15 minutes. The heat will denature the protein in the venom. I worked as a zookeeper for aquatic animals in public aquariums and took care of a variety of jellyfish species over the years and you learn how to take care of jellyfish stings as park of working with them.

Growing up between Hawaii and Okinawa we carried vinegar in a spray bottle in our beach bag just in case. We labeled it “jellyfish stuff” haha

Use vinegar girl! Ice water is fresh water it will make the venom more painful. EXCEPT if it is a portugese man of war type of jellyfish, you use SEA WATER.

les méduses sont du côté Est de l'île, (higashi en général) des touristes ont fait des rencontres avec des méduses de ce côté là. fait attention aux brûlures.

Just a recommendation! You can put raw honey on the wounds and it will help to heal and with the burn 🤍 I always carry a little bottle in my car as a just incase!

Vinegar helps. Rinse with seawater only. The reason I don't like going swimming in Japan outside of the session. You often end up alone at the beach.

Idk whats done in other places but where im from we have a ton of jelly fish. If stung we just have a friend pee on it. Than go home & use vinegar. But within mins have someone pee on u lol dead serious.

Incroyable....on a ete 2 semaines a Okinawa debut Juillet et on a passe notre temps dans l'eau...aucune mauvaise rencontre, sauf un nuage de bebes qui picotaient a peine...j'avais fini par croire que c'etait une legende....

Oh my god, that was intense! I got stung by tentacles a few days ago in Fukuoka! I don't know what kind of jellyfish though...it hurt so much. I thought I was going to die...😳

You’re actually not supposed to use fresh water, fresh water triggers uncharged stinging cells (nematocysts) to release more venom and can make the pain and tissue damage worse. So I hope the ice was vinegar cubes 👀
