I always recommend rug runners and ramps everywhere to anyone who has Frenchies. If you mean that she tested negative on the genetic test for IVDD: a Frenchie without any copies of the gene can still develop IVDD.

honestly that is easier to take care of vs ivdd , surgery is best option but there is definitely other options. you can get her a brace to help support her leg for now , id also recommend getting her on a good joint supplement also ! always good for senior fur babies 🩷

My girl has a mild luxiating patella and is 2. But i feel like it might get worse because sometimes she does limp from an episode. I got her a leg brace from tailwind! Shes a size small. Got her the harness too to make sure she doesnt try rubbing the brace off.

starting to think this is what my baby has now, I’m glad i came across this video. He’s currently on anti-inflammatory and pain meds he takes daily. I now want to go confirm with the vet. Thanks for this video , I’m sorry this has happened to yours but it’s so much easier then IVDD i lost my last one to it.

Look for a dog chiropractor in your area ... I take my Frenchies (for preventative care)to this lady that comes to California from Texas once a month and they are doing amazing... My cousin's Frenchie couldn't walk due to IVDD and he is walking now thanks to her.

Oh no. I’m so sorry! My baby had one surgery for his IVDD and then another IVDD FLARE UP a year later and that one, we were able to overcome through much resting and care and me not going to work for a while 🥹🥹🥹

See if your vet will prescribe Adequan. You’ll have to be comfortable with giving your dog a shot behind the neck in the subcutaneous fat. Once a month.

My frenchie also has grade 4 medial patella luxation diagnosed from an orthopedic specialist after he started limping. Surgery is recommended but until then we started him on Wuffes Advanced Hip and Joint Supplement with MSM and OMG THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION. I highly recommend!
