Inflation isn’t just happening by chance. When energy companies, insurers, supermarkets and banks continue posting record profits, while providing services people can’t live without, it’s fair to question how much pricing power is driving the cost of living.
Combine that with a government that continues borrowing billions while committing money overseas, and it’s no surprise so many Australians feel this country is heading up shit creek without a paddle.

The inflation numbers are rarely in the target band anyway. They’re either usually under or over. Plus we have external shocks of Persian gulf oil prices. Towards the end of Covid allowances were made by the central banks for external shocks, so why not now?

Petrol only affects you once and only if tou directly use it. Diesel affects everything you buy, so everyone pays the increase in diesel sometimes 2 or 3 times conpounded.
