@graviton256: The video shows the observed position of the Sun and its apparent orbital velocity across the sky in the flat Earth model (Gleason map + local Sun) over the course of a year. The simulated analemma and orbital velocity do not match the observations. #flatearth #Astronomy #physics #fyp #fy @Matthew Moonday @Georg @TobsyKrett @Tobsy's Agentin Hippiemama @MikeSpring @Gottesgeilchen @Orion_blue @🇳🇱TheWizeMan🇳🇱 @DerDa'sErdeFakten @𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐀𝐑 𝐀𝐋𝐈 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐓 @Alex Liedtke @andresm2501 @Mr. Sandman @steffen19891 @dueseavfxnc @Poison_Ivy @takeosenpai0
Analemma showing the position of the Sun in the sky as seen from a fixed location on Earth at the same mean solar time over the course of a year. Not possible on the globe concept. The bottom of the analemma is wider than the top. If it was on a globe concept, both ends would be perfectly equal

That's great, but the sun doesn't change size at all in reality but for this dumb model to work the sun would grow from a dot and shrink to a dot.

More importantly, WHY. Why would the sun do this? What force makes it do this? Why would it decide to go faster and slower, and change path? There’s no mechanism to explain it, where’s we can just model it as the Earth orbiting the sun.

what gives the sun the impetus to gain elevation? why so complicated a model?

look at the bottom on the elevation, if the earth was flat there wouldn't need to be an elevation change to make it work

Cool animation, But the observed angle of the sun in more than 2 places compared to each other doesn't work on a flat plane. Sorry.

The speed of the sun would have to be nearly 40% faster to make it around the larger Tropic of Capricorn compared to the Tropic of Cancer on a flat earth. But in reality, the sun’s apparent speed is only about 3.4%.

So why does the sun go across the sky at the same speed in Rockhampton Australia on December 21st as it does in Bhopal India on June 21st. Shouldn’t it be going much much faster? Shouldn’t Rockhampton have a much shorter day?

Gute Arbeit!
