I love this song sm it might be overplayed but it’s for a reason Kanye really is a lyricist genius in this song I love how the song has 3 meanings 1: self reflection he admits he has problems but he doesn’t promise to change his ways “I can have me a good girl and still be addicted to them hoodrats” can imply to anything relationships or good and bad things in general he admits to knowing what’s good for him but still chasing the bad things even tho he knows it’ll damage him he then proceeds to say he always finds something wrong he has a problem to always looking extremely hard for flaws even tho he knows nothing is perfect he still expects perfection and when he finds the tiniest flaws he’ll give it up when he shouldn’t have he then warns the listener to run-away from him bc he’ll just end up damaging the people around him. 2 inner self/mind Kanye knows he has struggles and how he still chases bad things, ruins things for himself for always looking for flaws so he wants to runaway from his own mind “runaway from it baby” he wants to runaway from himself. 3: Problems Kanye jus wants to runaway from his problems in general life, his struggles, industry pressure “runaway as fast as you can” he just wants to escape reality and runaway from his life and all his problems instead of actually facing them bc he knows he’s part of the problem and he doesn’t wanna fix himself he accepts and admits his flaws but he doesn’t promise to change them.
