According to the latest Economist/YouGov poll, 49% support acting on the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant, while only 27% oppose his arrest. The same survey found that 47% believe N£tanya 4hu is guilty of war crimes in Gaza. That is a remarkable shift. For years, Washington treated support for N£tanyahu as politically untouchable. He could arrive in America, enter the White House, receive extraordinary protection and enjoy unconditional backing from political leaders—regardless of the destruction associated with his government’s actions. But the American public is no longer speaking with the same voice as Washington. While President Trump promises that N£tany4hu will never be arrested on American soil, almost half the country is demanding precisely that. The United States and Isr4£l are not ICC members, and Isr4£l rejects the allegations, but the political message from this poll is unmistakable. The protection may remain. The public consent is disappearing.
