That time mine used to leave on Fridays and come back on Sunday evening. When i am on leave so does she and if a holiday falls on a weekday i tell her its a holiday and she needs to rest or go out and do her stuff. And if she is sick, she stays home and i request to work from home.

She said to me, she only get one weekend a month and she can stay for the whole month without seeing her boyfriend. I believe in treating my helper the same way I want her to treat my kids and the way I'd want to be treated. I can't expect my nanny to give my kids love when I treat her badly. Honestly guys it's not difficult just treat people as you would want to be treated. My nanny didn't work weekends, public olidays, all school holidays and often I'd say she can come back on Mondays morning when she leaves Friday. When I get home from work she would knock off as well and I would cook, bath the kids and clean up myself. When she's not well my husband and I would take turns with being home while she's away recovering. I treated her like family honestly and we'd include her in Takeaways whenever we buy. I gave her bonus same way I did at work. She still calls me to check on us and says when I'm employed again she wpuld love to come back. The only time I had a helper that left once a month was one who came from another province but even then I followed the same rules that when I get home she can relax I take over and weekends she can do whatever she wants. I put a TV in her room so she doesn't get bored and going home was a decision she made openly and we'd buy her a bus ticket so she uses her money for home and Iade her toiletries part of our monthly shopping. Yoh guys please treat helpers well so your kids get love as well from them
