Not an acceptable situation but something like this is a good reminder of how some people truly live for long periods in the world, displaced by war or weather etc often with no home to come back to. And the lack of staff, makes me wonder why they ‘don’t care.’ Probably underpaid and overworked. How lucky to be able to go on a trip, pay for a hotel for the inconvenience, and have a house to return to.
