@fixingpain: Knee pain during squats? Check your glute first. 🦵 Lyss came in with tibial plateau discomfort on squats — the fix wasn't at the knee, it was up at the glute max/IT band attachment. Running my finger up the band, I hit a spot that stopped me cold — smooth tissue, then suddenly rough and restricted. That's the target. Side-lying position, thumb anchored right where the glute max meets the IT band, then I flex the hip to stretch the tissue and use my body weight (not just my thumb) to shorten and lengthen the muscle through the restriction.
