He needed validation or rather recognization. ( I’m just riffing of of what I’m getting) he wasn’t able to be his true self in life living and loving authenticity in his truth , so he never got that validation or support when he was grieving. It leaves him feeling unfinished because he never got to publicly say “ I loved so and so and I will miss them” and receive the comfort from those around him as he should have. Probably kept it to his grave, no wonder he didn’t want to leave, that home is probably the only place he ever got to live authentically was privately , worried that if he moved on he would have to do it all over again hiding himself. That’s not knowing it’s enough to keep me locked inside.
