![Satoru Gojo (五条 悟? , Gojō Satoru ) is a fictional character in Gege Akutami 's manga Jujutsu Kaisen 0. He was first introduced in Akutami's short series Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School , where he appears as the mentor to the cursed teenager Yuta Okkotsu at the Tokyo Institute of the Occult Arts . This miniseries later became the prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the Jujutsu Kaisen - Sorcery Fight series . In Jujutsu Kaisen , Gojo takes on a similar role, mentoring the student Yuji Itadori , who is also afflicted with a curse, helping him become stronger while protecting the other characters in the series. Gojo was conceived by Akutami as a formidable yet endearing figure, deeply passionate about his own students.
