I find it so unreasonable how foreigners seem like such an issue to governments or ‘blood-citizens’ when they truly benefit japan for the better and create a lot of economical benefits. By pushing away tourism or immigrants they’ll move to Japans competitors/political enemies

I genuinely saddens me that I’ll probably never be able to move there. I’ve been wanting to live there since I was *four*, and it’s just never been in the cards for me. I wish other foreigners luck in moving there, but it’s gotta be disheartening to live there and see the how xenophobic the country still is, and how anti-immigration it’s becoming

Yeah it sucks. I got my license to teach english in 2020 right after i graduated in 2019 then their borders closed. It honestly ruined my life. I loved covid for the wfh but it ruined my plans of realizing my dream to work in Japan.

I had a plan to teach English in Japan and was warned that other countries like China and South Korea aren’t as great as Japan but now things have flipped and I’m told the opposite.

What makes Japan lovely is Japanese people. Mass immigration has ruined many western nations like France and the UK. I’m glad Japan is not making the same mistake.
