I’m actually shocked at the amount of ppl that feel no sympathy towards her.

Yes she is guilty. But YES, she was also failed. Women need more support. Especially postpartum.

People say how many of us women feel sympathy for her. It’s not that we are horrified and heartbroken for her 3 beautiful babies! It’s that a mother doesn’t just wake up one day and decide to unalive her kids and attempt to take her own life. There has to be deep psychosis there. It’s not that Lindsay had a history of neglect or child ab*se. Every person that knew her said she was an incredible mom. She was trying to get help. 12 medications in a few months? My God that poor woman! I do agree she needs to be held accountable for what she did, even if it was PPP. I don’t know what accountability looks like. But it’s sad that many doctors around her and her own husband failed to help keep the children safe when it was clear this woman was not in her right mind.

Y’all keep saying, “If the roles were reversed, you wouldn’t feel the same.” But y’all are forgetting one important thing: women have spent generations being dismissed, talked over, and told we’re “too emotional” whenever we speak up about what we go through. Our pain is minimized. Our experiences are questioned. Our feelings are invalidated. So no, it’s not the same. You can’t ignore that history and pretend both situations exist on equal footing.

She wants to die. They won’t let her because she’s supervised. She’s living in a mental hell.

It’s okay to be angry, and it is also okay to be empathetic. These feelings can exist together.

I think it was the husband. The evidence is stacking up against him by the day and her reactions in court vs his are INSANE. He looks like he’s board and she’s balling the whole time. Super weird behavior

I guess it shouldn’t be but it’s kind of shocking how so many people see this as black and white. the amount of times she tried to get help, tried medications, wanted to be admitted. she tried and no one helped her. I think that deserves empathy. should there be justice for the children and is it absolutely horrific? 1000000%. Both can be true. I think this shines a light on a much bigger issue and the lack of care there is for women postpartum

I’m just saying, if a man experienced psychosis and strangled his own 3 children with exercise bands, yall would be singing a very different tune. Could Lindsey have been experiencing PP psychosis? Maybe. But that doesn’t excuse the fact that she murdered her children and should be punished for that. Yall act like she would walk free simply because she was mentally ill. Over 50% of homicides are committed by mentally ill people. Should those 50% of murderers be let free? No. Yall need to stop acting like this woman is without fault.

She could’ve avoided this by taking a plea deal btw. She wants to go free. Not guilty by reason of insanity is not a life sentence. You can go free after treatment
