@uraan_stories_official: The Muslim Scientist Who Inspired the Camera. For centuries, people believed the eye sent something outward to see. Ibn al-Haytham tested that idea with a dark room and a tiny hole in the wall. When light from several lamps passed through the opening, separate bright marks appeared on the opposite wall. When one lamp was covered, only its own mark disappeared. That showed that light travels in straight lines. He also noticed that the image formed through the opening appeared upside down. From this, he understood that light enters the eye from objects, rather than coming out of the eye. This was one of the greatest breakthroughs in optics and later helped inspire the camera obscura and modern camera science. #IbnAlHaytham #HistoryOfScience #MuslimScientists #Optics #HistoryTok
