Honestly… I believed them too. What you’re looking at in this video is actually my after. These are the legs I’m incredibly proud of. I’ve lost about 20 pounds, my inflammation is dramatically lower, and after a year of showing up consistently, I can finally see shape in my legs again. I can’t believe it. The lipedema is still there. You can still see the nodules, especially around my knees. They’ve gotten smaller, but they haven’t disappeared. The ironic part? I spent almost 10 years working in the weight loss industry. I know how to lose weight. I’ve helped other people do it. Yet no matter what I did, this fat on my legs never responded the way the rest of my body did. Everything changed when I stopped treating it like a weight-loss problem and started treating it like an inflammation and circulation problem. I changed my diet, prioritized sleep, paid attention to stress, focused on lymphatic health, compression, recovery, strength training, and movement that worked with my body instead of against it. I also use physician-guided peptide therapy as one part of my overall wellness routine. It’s not a magic fix, and I don’t believe there’s one thing that “cures” lipedema. For me, it’s been the combination of many small, consistent changes over time. I know everyone’s experience with lipedema is different. I’m currently Stage 1, and I’m incredibly grateful I caught it before it progressed further. I also know many women are living with much more advanced stages than I am. I’m only sharing what’s helped me in hopes it helps someone else, too. I’m sharing this because I remember thinking I just wasn’t trying hard enough. Maybe someone watching this needs to hear that it was never about not trying hard enough. 💛 #Lipedema #lipedemawarrior #LipedemaJourney #WomensHealth #lymphaticdrainage
