It didn’t. With a lot of context, supervision and like $5000 in monthly use, you can kinda replace a junior editor for meta paid advertising that you would otherwise pay like 2k max and have to supervise less.

I‘m a selfemployed social media manager & content creator and I work for some clients in post production for courses and I have seen sooo many videos always about tool „this fixes everything“ I have never had one tool yet where I’m not still ending up editing myself cause I don’t like the result or it just cuts right in the middle through sentences. I get inquires with the wish for 20 high quality edited videos in one hour with „but it should be so easy use this tool so we get the videos faster“ yeah do it yourself than 👌🫱🏻🫲🏼

If you don't know video editing experience you honestly can't do anything because claude makes generic stuff but if you do know video editing then you can actually make pretty good stuff with it

to cut the pauses on the audio correctly you'll have to transcript to text with other tool, like whisper, so claude can find the right parts to cut, or you could give the timestamps to cut it off. Remotion it's good, but not a "editor killer" like that mf is saying
