She was prescribed 13 meds in 4 months. This is not her fault. The medical community did this. Even when she tried to get herself hospitalized prior to this they denied her and sent her back to the same doctors. Like WTF

I need you all to understand that this could have been you. even if you think you would never hurt your babies. post partum psychosis can affect ANYONE. im not saying she should just walk free but if you want these things to stop happening you have to see her beyond a criminal

let this be a reminder that our society seriously neglects women’s hormones and postpartum care because women’s health has never been taken seriously enough. women should have way more support before, during and after pregnancy. hormones, nutrient levels, recovery, all of it! giving birth takes so much out of a woman physically and nutritionally and then we basically send her home and expect her to just figure it out. it’s insane. we have to do better for women after they give birth. we literally raise the future of the nation. taking care of mothers should be one of the biggest priorities of any society.
