KOBE #A2123127. 🩵 Last Day to Save: Sat 8/1 Euthanasia Date: Sun 8/2   AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER OR RESCUE   Male, 2 years old, 61 lbs, Black Mouthed Cur   Sometimes joy comes lightly.  As lightly as the two front paws when Kobe jumps up to greet me, wanting to get closer, to let me know how happy he is to see me. Sometimes joy grows.  The feeling when Kobe presses into my legs to let me know he is there and he is mine for however long I can stay with him. Sometimes joy bubbles forth, when Kobe and I are walking at Lake Balboa and we are in sync, enjoying all the sight, the sounds and the sheer poetry of love in motion. Kobe is on the euthanasia list for nothing other than “Shelter is over capacity for care”. (With dozens of empty kennels, by the way)  .  He is a bright, energetic boy that was in the shelter when he was quite a young puppy, and has been back now for three months. He is an extremely friendly young and active dog who should be on hikes, not stuck in a kennel.   He is playful and social with other dogs, and friendly to every person who comes up to greet him.  Takes treats gently.  Moderate but quite manageable pull on leash.  Would benefit from training—he does have a tendency to jump up in greeting—happy and excited to greet you, and no one has taught him commands. Kobe’s first adopter surrendered him for No Time.  Kobe has now  spent way too much of his young life in the shelter, hoping to be chosen—hoping that someone will see what I see and realize this is one of the sweetest, best-natured dogs you will ever meet.    If you are out of state or the LA area & are seriously interested in adopting, please contact Bonnie LaPierre (+1 (818) 430-5959, who may be able to assist with setting up transport etc.  And If you have any questions, please feel free to DM, text @ 818-645-8575 or email  mailto:randyesaunders@gmail.com.   🐾🐾🐾 shelter info 🐾🐾🐾 Come meet KOBE at Los Angeles Animal Services East Valley Shelter 14409 Vanowen St. Van Nuys, CA 91405 Open Tuesday-Friday 8am – 5 pm Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 5 pm   Rescues: for full notes please contact: Life Saving Liaison mailto:Luz.ruiz@lacity.org mailto:Veronica.Perry@lacity.org mailto:Goldie.Garcia@lacity.org #dog #adoptme #urgent #boost
