my wife had bariatric surgery. at first I was completely against it because I firmly believed she was doing it because she wanted to do it for me, family, friends, etc. but once I realized, through communication and care, that it was what SHE wanted for HERSELF, then it was easy to be 100% supportive. communication and support will help both sides in these situations.

I see a lot of these as women's equivalent of a dude getting super jacked and mostly getting compliments from other guys about it. if that's what you want, or if it'll make you happy go for it, but when your partner says it doesn't really do anything for them, you should probably believe them.

Her words come from a place of distrust, which I get. There are definitely guys like that out there. But, you can't move through life not trusting everything, and assuming the worst in everyone. It makes for a very lonely life

My ex had an injury and had to have surgery. During it they surgically removed a mole. When i noticed it, i remember being a little disappointed cause it was a unique trait that was gone. (It wasn’t cancer. They checked, they just cosmetically removed it.) but it was her choice and i still loved her
