But guy, the more stressfull question is not AI....but Climate Change. When we attain Net Zero émission....the temperature will not stabilize. The reason at +2 or +3 degree C, all the natural ecosystems will produce "post-anthropic" emissions. Forest fires, emission of NH4 by pergélisol, less carbon fixation by Amazon forest. The climate change is a self amplifying process like a Larsen effect. This is the curse of a process with no negative feedback....except the rise of the temperature. In that case the survival of humanity and many forms of life is at stake. It will cost much more of adaptation to IA. We can talk of that whenever you like.
