We didn't hear the song of the sirens because everyone has his own version of the song, i think that's why they cut the sound during the scene.

They made it difficult to see the sirens and cut it so we couldn’t hear them so we’d be drawn in. He tempted us in to the sirens. Man’s a genius.

The beauty is in not playing the song. A song so hauntingly beautiful would be subjective so instead you only experience what the shipmates do watching Odysseus suffer through it. It leaves the song to your imagination I loved it.

If you notice the sane score sounds when he is talking to Penelope and she's asking for him to promise he'll get back, meaning this is LITERALLY the songs for the promises he has made, for what he has lost. I love this movie.

Now this is the Oddessy content I want. Not, “it’s 3:00am and I’m going to the movie”. It’s a haunting floating piece of music and it works in so many different places in the movie(from the clips I’ve seen I haven’t seen the movie yet). Good commentary.

Thank you for your reaction to this incredible movie! IMy son, Stephen Murphy, played one of Odysseus’ men (phemius). He travelled to all countries with Matt and his men and while it was obviously extremely hard work, he would do it all again in a heartbeat! He is an up and coming actor who struck gold to have this role (even though he only had one line) Don’t lose sight of your dreams people! They can come true!
