Is the context being deliberately misunderstood or do ppl really not understand the distinction? This is no different than if a sales person complained about a "No Solicitors" sign, tried to say it was a personal affront instead of a individual/business creating a boundary against unwanted/uninvited interruptions and/or behavior. Being an Influencer is a job, not who you are. The business is simply creating a boundary to prevent influencer type behavior and doing so in a cheeky way. Influencers can obviously visit the store, they just can't film or record. Smells of feigned outrage.

Totally agree, if people aren’t standing vlogging no one will know they are an influencer if they just walk in and shop like a regular person. The people of Nantucket are Wellesley or greenwich folks who own summer homes there, their feeds on Facebook (or maaaybe instagram) are not at all crossing with the influencers on TikTok so people won’t even recognize them.
