its a game with tons of players people who are worried about there being a pve mode are weirdos the only downside i see there being is the pvp players lose all the casual players they hunt for easy loot and now gotta deal with people who are prepared for pvp.

At this point why not just bring a pre only mode and a pvp mode?! This lets people collect items they need and quest without the fear of someone hiding in a bush or camping an extract. Then you can go do PvP when you want

it's a sinple fix. make a separate PvE mode where the loot is a bit less. Make the PvP mode give a bit more. then watch the rat go from complaining about casual players want PvE to complaining about getting their asses beat by more toxic rats.

Just have bounty system. PvP hardcore players would love to hunt rats. It's not even the rewards, its the basis of the hunt itself. Hunting rats would get them reputation points, that's gonna be awesome.
