@doctorhoeflinger: Take it from a neurosurgeon, a families trust towards their physician especially in a life and death situation is what makes being a doctor a wonderful and privileged career. #doctors #careersuccess
For those saying he should still continue his career, I know you mean well. But, let’s not forget that he has sacrificed decades of his life to save ppl. We all need to decide when enough is enough, regardless of career. Life is short. This Dr has done his job, and deserves nothing more than praise and respect for his service. Allow him to retire peacefully and without guilt. If you truly respect him as a surgeon then why would you not support his next decision? 🤷♀️. Let’s not be selfish, but rather appreciate the countless ppl he has saved and be grateful. He belongs having the best send off EVER!!! Lift this Dr up!!

My child had a TBI at 3.5 years old and had a drain put in. That was so in̈credibly scary but the neurologist prayed with us beforehand and was amazing. It really made all the difference.

Your empathy & compassion, in addition to your exemplary medical skills, are why patients & their families trust you so much! Unfortunately, I’ve interacted with numerous physicians throughout the years &, although some came with ‘5 star reviews,’ their people skills lacked in such a way that I was MORE nervous after meeting them than I was before! You sooooo deserve this next chapter of your life but boy, your reputation as an extraordinary HUMAN BEING first, followed by being a complete bad ass of a surgeon will ensure that Dr. H stories will be shared well into the future 🥰
