I once had an argument with a girl about this speaking of tongues issue, apparently she was shaming people that don’t know how to speak in tongues, which is funny because i felt she lost the plot from beginning, speaking in tongues is a gift of the holy spirit, following that teaching you’ll understand that not everyone will be able to speak in tongues and secondly I feel speaking in tongues is people speaking in languages they don’t understand on a normal day because even in the bible when the holy spirit descended on the disciples and they started speaking im tongues people around thought they were mad but they were people in the crowd that understood what they were talking about, now this means two things which i’ve not been able to answer myself did they understand because it was their normal language or did they understand because they had the gift of interpretation of tongues? Anyhow sha my point is that pastors twist these scriptures to fit their intentions and these members don’t read the bible or care to understand on their own, especially that Christ Embarrasses church that teaches speaking in tongues😭😭
