I still think about the time my husband’s retired boss came by my job because his wife worked with me and she was like “this is ___’s wife!” And he was so condescending sounding and said “yeah, a real hard worker.” in front of a room full of people- I said “oh, I know! I was in labor and he was having to do all that extra work on his laptop because you said it wasn’t a big deal 😊” the look of absolute horror and disgust on everyone’s face made him turn red and his wife stammered an apology and I told her it wasn’t her choice, but I was glad my husband was able to be present more after he got all his work done that just couldn’t wait. He didn’t even try to speak, he hurried away and I still think about it with silent joy. He made my husband’s life so miserable for years, but I made sure he knew I didn’t forget and now the office full of mostly women with children of their own know now too.

My sister‘s so-called friends from high school turned on her their senior year for a dumbass reason I watched my sister cry over this. It has been 14 years. She’s over it. Some of the girls were literally her bridesmaids in her wedding. They will be on my shit list until I die. Everyone in my family has told me to get over it. I don’t care.
