Just use the washer. Deep clean setting with a pre soak and extra rinse. Literally does the same thing. I add baking soda, vinegar, and some oxy clean in addition to my detergent

Your saving the washer my man was diesel before switching to what he does and welll ig it was rough of the washer. Welders clothes mechanic clothing any blue collar people dont realize that welders have metal all over there clothes (it can ruin your washer) mechanics all the chemicals and crap on the clothes can also ruin the washer (my dads a welder and they replaced the washer 3 times in 3 years)
